David E. Belfort is a founding member of the law firm Bennett & Belfort, PC and he co-manages the firm’s office in Cambridge, MA. Mr. Belfort litigates employment and business disputes in the areas of employment discrimination, partnership disputes, restrictive covenants, wages, the Family Medical Leave Act, whistleblower claims and numerous other employment-related matters. Mr. Belfort is AV rated by Martindale Hubbel and has been named a Massachusetts Super Lawyer every year since 1996. Mr. Belfort is currently serving his second term as President of MELA, the Massachusetts Employment Lawyers Association. He is an active member of the Massachusetts Bar Association and is the former vice chair of the Labor and Employment Section Council. Mr. Belfort is also a member of Health Law Advocates, a pro bono advocacy organization aimed at improving access to health care for under-served populations. Mr. Belfort obtained his B.A., with honors, from Hobart College in 1992 and earned his J.D. in 1996 from New Hampshire School of Law (f/k/a Franklin Pierce Law Center).
