Sarah J. Burger is the Founding Member of Burger Law Group PLLC. Burger Law Group PLLC is based in the Capital Region of New York and in Boston, Massachusetts. Ms. Burger is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and New York, the U.S. District Courts, Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western Districts of New York, the U.S. District Court, District of Massachusetts and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
Ms. Burger concentrates her practice in employment and labor law litigation and counseling, as well as general business counseling. She primarily represents individual employees in a wide variety of labor and employment law matters including discrimination, retaliation, whistleblower matters, unpaid wage and overtime disputes and the negotiation and drafting of employment agreements. She also advises businesses regarding workplace policies and litigation avoidance.
Ms. Burger is an active member of the New York State Bar Association, Labor Section, Boston Bar Association, Labor Section, Saratoga County Bar Association, National Employment Lawyers Association (NELA National), the Massachusetts Employment Lawyers Association (MELA), as well as NELA/New York (NELA/NY) where she serves on the executive committee as Second Vice President and is a member of the legislative committee.
Ms. Burger obtained her Juris Doctor from Villanova University School of Law and her Bachelor of Arts from Drexel University, First Honors. She has been recognized as a top rated lawyer by Super Lawyers for Labor and Employment Law in 2014 - 2019 and by the Lawyers of Distinction for Labor Law in 2019.
She is also Vice President of Heading for Home, Racehorse Retraining and Adoption Center, Inc. and Chair of the Saratoga Springs Democratic Committee.
